What was history?

Hong Kong was a colony of the British Empire from 1842. Over the time, sovereignty over the territory was transferred to China in 1997 to 2047 as a special administrative region, having a full "Democracy" and the governing and economic systems will separate from mainland China. Still, China and Britain didn't decide that what will after 2047? Who will control Hong Kong?

Being so it operates using a different system and issues its Currency (HKdoller) passport, ID cards, also maintains a separate immigration agency even someone wants to go to Hong Kong from China he needs to cross a border exiting HK at one checkpoint then crossing through the natural zone.

What was the reason behind the conflict between China and Hong Kong?

In the early 2000s, China wants to take control of Hong Kong and wanted to make policy, such as, "One country, two systems" principles by Dang Xiaoping(leader). After some time China started interfering in Hong Kong's internal affairs. Hong Kong's Chief Executive elected by 1200 members of the election committee, but about 43 members of Legislative Council members started supporting China(pro-Beijing-camp). 

What was the reason behind the 2014 Hong Kong Protest?

The Chinese government said on 31st August 2014 it would allow voters to choose their leaders from a list approved by Pro Beijing Committee, but critics called this a "sham democracy" and it was voted down in Hong Kong's Legislature and started the Umbrella Movement(use of Umbrella to resist tear gas and pepper which was used by Police) using social media to start protest place. 

What was the reason behind the 2019 Hong Kong Protest?

About 1 million people started to protest against the Bill which was presented by the Hong Kong Government taken by the Chinese Government "Extradition Law" will allow the extradition of people suspected of an offense will be punishable by the Chinese Government. Also, critics said that the bill eroded the judicial independence of Hong Kong's citizens by making it easier to send the suspect to mainland China. Chinese government aimed that if someone tries to publish against china so China will take action against that person.

After a huge Protest, the Chinese Government decided to withdraw Bill because of international pressure.

Millions of Hongkongers were supposed to vote Legislative Council election on Sunday but, the date has been postponed in July for a year by Hong Kong's Chief Executive Carrie Lam to the guise of a coronavirus public Health care.

Many protesters wonder why delay it a year and especially the Hong kong(city) COVID spread is fairly well contained. Hundreds of pro-democracy protestors protesting what they think is an unjustified voting right by city leaders are afraid of losing an election. 

After some time police use pepper pellets and tear gas to disperse the protesters and wrestled to the ground by the police, including a 12-Year-old girl who went out for shopping for school with her brother.  

By the end of the Sunday evening, at least 300 people had been arrested, including 270 were charged with illegal assembly.

The Hong Kong government's spokesperson said that protestors ignored warning from police and use the debris to block the several roads. Hong Kong police fulfill their duties and are swiftly arrested who violated the law.
